According to the guidelines issued by Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) as part of the Centralized Allotment Process (MGU-CAP), the retention of students' certificates by colleges is subject to specific rules to ensure transparency and fairness.


1. Document Submission:

    o Students are required to submit original certificates for verification at the time of admission. These include:

  • SSLC/10th Certificate (Proof of Date of Birth).
  • Higher Secondary/Plus Two Certificate.
  • Transfer Certificate (TC).
  • Conduct Certificate.
  • Caste/Community Certificate (if applicable).
  • Income Certificate (if required for reservation/fee concession).

2. Retention Policy:

  • College will not retain original certificates of students beyond the time required for verification.
  • After verification, all original documents will be returned to the student immediately.
  • Students are required to provide attested photocopies of their certificates for the college records.
