About the Course

M.A (Cinema and Television) or Master of Arts in Cinema and Television is a full-time two-year Post-Graduate degree course in Film and TV industry. Cinema and Television at the Master's level is a professional step towards successful careers in Cinema and Television. The Master of Arts program in Cinema and Television addresses the significance of these media within the context of current developments and issues including the industrial organization of film and television production; the creative process from initial script development to marketing the final product; the role of public institutions and policy; the impact of new technology; the organization of audiences; and the various critical, theoretical and discursive frameworks that pertain to cinema and television. With the multiplicity of Television channels being a reality, formal training in these areas will equip the students with adequate confidence and leadership to take up challenging careers.

The programme shall normally extend over a period of Four academic years
Degree / Equivalent examination
Candidates who are willing to register for any course are requested to register in MGU UG CAP website (https://cap.mgu.ac.in/ugpcap2024) by selecting the course along with specialization with necessary details and book your seat at the earliest well before June 7th 2024.
A candidate shall normally be permitted to register and appear for the end semester university examinations if
(a) He/She secured not less than grade C for attendance in each course of study in the semester, and
(b) His/Her progress is satisfactory in the internal assessment in each of the course.
