M.A (Cinema and Television) or Master of Arts in Cinema and Television is a full-time two-year Post-Graduate degree course in Film and TV industry. Cinema and Television at the Master’s level is a professional step towards successful careers in Cinema and Television. The Master of Arts program in Cinema and Television addresses the significance of these media within the context of current developments and issues including the industrial organization of film and television production; the creative process from initial script development to marketing the final product; the role of public institutions and policy; the impact of new technology; the organization of audiences; and the various critical, theoretical and discursive frameworks that pertain to cinema and television. With the multiplicity of Television channels being a reality, formal training in these areas will equip the students with adequate confidence and leadership to take up challenging careers.
